When kids play, they are building their brains and developing the skills they need to thrive - now and throughout their lives. Sadly, play is declining in communities all across the United States. MOMI is dedicated to changing that through education and building a museum that promotes experiential learning with our exhibits and programs.

Museum of Makers + Innovator’s mission is to build a museum that sparks curiosity and wonder, and ignites the lifelong love of learning. MOMI is in response to the need for more equitable and inclusive learning opportunities for children and their families. Our plan is to create a place for innovative, experiential learning that connects creativity with science and nature. We plan on building a museum of the future with indoor and outdoor exhibits that will inspire the next generation to dream big and think even bigger.
To build a new museum will take planning and perseverance. We have just begun the journey and need support of the entire community to move forward with our vision.
Our To Do List.
This pandemic has taken many things away from us. Yet more than ever we all have re-discovered the Power of Play and how it defines us as humans - the need to connect with one another that is hands-on. Play helps us cope with the unimaginable. Play brings us joy.
While our vision remains the same to build a hands-on and minds-on world class museum for families in New Jersey, we remain first and foremost committed to building resilience in our communities by sparking children’s learning through play.
